Mental performance coaching for athletes ready to take their game to the next level.
Goal Setting
Most athletes know what they want to achieve, but few have a system for how to get it. My approach to goal setting goes beyond “winning a championship” or “increasing velocity.” Drawing on expert sport psychology frameworks, I help bridge the gap between your long-term ambitions and daily actions.
Multi-Sensory Visualization
Visualization is more than just “seeing” success; it’s about priming your nervous system to execute under pressure. I teach athletes how to engage all five senses to create vivid, high-fidelity mental rehearsals. By “pre-playing” every high-stakes moment—from the smell of the grass to the feel of the ball—we build neural pathways that allow you to perform with total confidence when the game is actually on the line.
Deliberate Routines
Consistency is the hallmark of elite performance, and consistency starts with routine. I help athletes develop personalized “mental anchors” for every phase of the game—from the moment you arrive at the park to the high-pressure seconds before the play begins. By building deliberate pre-performance and “reset” routines, we eliminate guesswork and signal your brain that it’s time to compete. We build the habits that ensure you show up as your best self, every single time.
Cognitive Reframing
Elite performance isn’t about the absence of pressure; it’s about how you interpret it. I help athletes audit their internal dialogue and transform “toxic” thoughts into productive, instructional cues. By mastering cognitive reframing, we move away from reactive thinking and toward a mindset where challenges are viewed as opportunities for growth. We don’t just “think positive”—we train your brain to speak the language of high performance, ensuring your inner voice is your greatest competitive advantage rather than your biggest opponent.
Resilience & Mental Toughness
In sports, failure is inevitable—but a collapse is optional. Resilience isn’t just about “being tough”; it’s about the psychological ability to bounce back, adapt, and stay focused when things go wrong. I provide athletes with the frameworks to view setbacks as data points rather than defeats. By building “mental calluses” through proven recovery strategies, we ensure that a bad call, a missed play, or a tough inning doesn’t define the rest of your game. We train the grit required to stay in the fight until the final whistle.
Jared Bloom, M.S.
As a former collegiate pitcher, I lived the “Pitcher Only” life. I know the pressure of the 3-2 count, coming into the game in an unfavorable situation, the mental recovery required after a tough inning, and the discipline needed to stay sharp when you only have one job: to perform when it matters the most. But I also saw how many elite athletes, myself included, were training their bodies daily while leaving their mental game to chance.
I knew that “toughing it out” wasn’t a strategy. I wanted to understand what led to peak performance. That led me to a B.S. in Psychology and a Master of Science in Sport Psychology.
